Martin has deep experience in the world of charities both as a lawyer and through personal engagement. He has served as Trustee of 14 charities, 10 times as Chair, and 4 times as Founder. He oversaw the governance modernisation of a women's rights charity, and of the UK's leading poetry charity. He has advised charities on domestic and overseas operations, including in detail on the current Russian sanctions regime. In addition to the law that applies to companies, trusts, CBSs, CICs, and CIOs, he also is expert in dealing with the national regulator of charities, the Charity Commission.

Our clients currently include several local and a few national charities. Our work includes advice on governance, employees, regulation, propriety and ethics, choice of legal vehicle, applying for registration, and all aspects of property included under the Charities Act 2011.

We are fully aware of the need for charities to minimise their legal expenses.
